Safety and data protection.

This page is written for IT and legal departments. It describes how an appearance is organised and what data it involves. What is written here applies to every booking.

Insurance

Public liability insurance covers personal injury and property damage during public operation. We send the insurance certificate before the event on request. The robot itself is insured against transport and operating damage, which does not concern you as the customer.

Operator

An operator is on site for the entire appearance, keeps eye contact and controls movement and conversation. He can end both at any time. The movement area is agreed with you in advance and set via the remote control.

Speech system and block list

Ben answers live through a speech system. It works with a fixed block list that cannot be switched off: no statements about competitors, no political or religious topics, no comments on anyone's body, origin, gender or age. On top of that the system is configured for your brand: topics he raises, topics he avoids, phrases he uses.

The operator listens in and can cut off any answer. What Ben says is not recorded, unless you have booked the clip package and the recording is announced.

Filming and data protection

Ben has cameras for navigation and interaction. These images are processed in the moment and not stored. Recordings for the clip package are made by a separate team with its own camera, GDPR-compliant and agreed with you. We provide the templates for that.

Data flows

Ben runs without a connection to the manufacturer's servers. Control and speech system run over a separate network the operator brings along. Your network is not needed. Personal data of visitors is not collected, not stored and not passed on. What is said in conversation does not leave the stand.

Enquiries via this website go to a form service and are used to handle your enquiry, more in the privacy policy.

Manufacturer notes

Ben is a Unitree G1. We have set him up for appearances in front of an audience: movement area and speed are matched to the event. The manufacturer's instructions are part of our operating concept.

Data sheet

We send the data sheet with the technical data, the operating concept and the insurance certificate to your IT on request.
